  • Deadline Diskin Design Pocket Knife 3.4″ Two-Tone Wharncliffe Blade and Stainless Steel Handle, Frame Lock 1087

    $74.00
    Kershaw Knives

This one is getting in under the wire — and you’ll be glad it did. Meet the Deadline, from Kershaw and Matt Diskin.

It’s got a lot of special features between its two-toned stainless steel handles. First, there’s the opening system. The Deadline opens with Kershaw’s KVT ball-bearing system. But a manual system like that has to have detent — often strong detent—to keep the blade in the handle until the user opens it. When the blade is fully closed, a depression in the blade is engaged by a ball partially embedded in the liner or handle. The interaction of ball and depression keeps the blade closed. The problem with that is that sometimes the detent is too strong to make opening the knife comfortable. The answer is the Tuned Detent System (TDS).

TDS puts the detent ball on the front scale of the knife in an inset steel plate. This plate enables you to “fine tune” the detent so that it’s perfect — not too heavy, not too light. With TDS, opening a manual flipper knife like this is as easy as opening any other flipper.

Both blade and handle feature a two-toned finish. In this case, Kershaw used gray PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) coating in the grinds and hollows and a satin finish on the flats. The result is a knife with a very distinctive look that walks the line between classy and tactical.

The 8Cr13MoV blade is a modified Wharncliffe with a top swedge. The handles are two-tone-finished steel with cold-forged handle texture for a solid grip. A strong frame lock secures the blade open during use. Kershaw also added a decorative glass filled nylon backspacer in matte black and a moveable steel filler tab so the look is nicely detailed and neatly finished. The pocket clip is Kershaw’s deep-carry pocket clip so that the knife rides comfortably low in your pocket.

  • Decibel Folding Knife 3″ Gray Titanium Carbo-Nitride Reverse Tanto Blade and Stainless Steel Handle, Frame Lock 2045

    $82.00

    Kershaw Knives

THE DECIBEL SPEAKS LOUDLY, CARRIES LIGHTLY

This sci-fi-inspired knife is sleek, extremely modern, and comfortably lightweight. The Decibel’s slim, linear design is emphasized by dark matte-gray, titanium-carbo-nitride coating on both blade and handle. The dark-gray finish is offset by an aluminum pivot collar and backspacer, both anodized in bright blue.

The Decibel’s blade is quality 8Cr13MoV stainless steel. And even though the handle is stainless steel, too, the discreet Decibel weighs in at just 2.7 ounces. One thing that lightens the knife’s weight—and adds style—is the handle cutout. This “window” in the handle lets you look inside and reveals the Kershaw logo, cleverly tucked away on the inside of the back handle. The reversible pocket clip has its own decorative cutouts, echoing the lines of the knife. The Decibel is a fully manual knife, but can be opened one-handed using the thumb stud.

With its lighter weight, the Decibel is an easy folder to drop in your pocket before heading out of the house. You might even forget it’s there—until you need it. Then it’s ready to get the job done. The reverse tanto blade is as functional as it is eye-catching. and unlike a standard drop-point blade, the Decibel’s tip is positioned downward, letting you make piercing cuts with ease. It’s a perfect feature for opening packages, letters, and other everyday items. When you want an ideal balance between ultra-modern looks, comfortable weight, and top performance, the Decibel speaks volumes.

    Features

    • Manual – There is no mechanical assist, such as SpeedSafe, used to open the folding knife. It opens the classic, old-school way.
    • Frame Lock – A portion of the handle (the knife frame) moves behind the blade to lock it into position during use. This is a safety feature of the knife.
    • Reversible – Pre-drilled holes in the handle enable the user to change either the tip position or the side on which the knife carries.

  • Duck Commander Quax Axe With Polymer Edge Cover 7400DCX

    $79.00
    Kershaw

One look and you’ll see why The Quax is the official ax of the Duckmen of Duck Commander. Yep, the ax head looks like a duck head.

But even though it has a whimsical look, it performs like a real champ. The ax is so good at its job because of its classic wedge shape and sharp, double-beveled edge, called the “bit.” The bit reduces the force needed when chopping because it naturally splits the wood by the pressure concentrated at the bit. The handle provides additional leverage—again, making it easier to chop and split wood.

  • Ember Assisted Folding Knife 2″ Plain Clip Point Blade, Rick Hinderer Design, Frame Lock 3560

    $58.00
    Kershaw Knives

Kershaw and Rick Hinderer have teamed up to bring you a smaller pocketknife with plenty of style, the Kershaw Ember.

The first thing you’ll notice, of course, is the Ember’s size. The blade is just two inches long and, when closed, the knife is a compact 2.8 inches. But the next thing you’ll notice is the Ember’s striking looks. Angles, contours, matte-grey coating, and black hardware give it a tactical look-and-feel that we think knife users will really warm up to.

For easy opening, the Ember features SpeedSafe® assisted opening and a handy, built-in flipper. The modified clip-point blade has an ergonomic top curve, which gives the user a convenient place to position an index finger when guiding the knife’s edge in a close-cutting situation. A sturdy frame lock secures the blade in position for safe use.

The blade is heat treated to Kershaw’s demanding specifications to bring out the very best qualities in the steel. Titanium carbo-nitride coating on both blade and handle give the Ember a matte grey finish. Black hardware, including the three-position pocket clip, enhances this little knife’s look.

Easy to carry in pocket, briefcase, or backpack, the Ember from Kershaw and Rick Hinderer packs a lot of style into a small package.
