Based on Polish custom knifemaker Marcin Slysz’ incredibly popular “Mouse 3” folder, the third-generation expression of the Techno™ continues the evolution of this compact, workhorse design. In addition to its refined lines, it adds a flipper opener, ball bearing pivot washers, a steel interface/overtravel stop on the Reeve Integral Lock™ (R.I.L.) mechanism, and a meticulously machined titanium pocket clip. The Techno 3’s blade is crafted from CTS® XHP® stainless steel and features a high flat grind, a satin finish, and a stylish swedge to provide both low-friction cutting performance and excellent point utility. Its handle scales are precision machined from solid titanium and include faceted chamfers that also enhance the knife’s ergonomics. Configured for right-side, tip-up carry, the Techno 3 faithfully translates Marcin Slysz’ custom design into an elegantly practical cutting tool.

The handle is built of durable 6061-T6 anodized aluminum, which is sometimes described as “aircraft aluminum” since it is a common material used for aircraft fittings. It’s lightweight, extremely durable, and anodizes well so Kershaw can create colored handles that are scratch resistant and extra tough. Trac-Tec grip-tape inserts provide an extra-secure grip. The Blur’s inset liner lock ensures secure blade lock up during use.
For easy one-handed opening, the Blur is equipped with SpeedSafe® assisted opening. Just push on the built-in Thumb Stud. The reversible pocket clip lets you carry tip-up or tip-down comfortably.

The bar extends to both sides of the knife, spans the liners and is positioned over the rear of the blade. It engages a ramped tang portion of the knife blade when it is opened. Two omega style springs, one on each liner, give the locking bar its inertia to engage the knife tang. As a result, the tang is wedged solidly between a sizable stop pin and the AXIS bar itself.
