Elishewitz Tao Tactical Pen 2, Gray Aluminum TPENAEG
$89.00
CRKT
It’s not threatening… looking anyway. On the outside, the Tao 2 Tactical Pen appears to be a highly stylized writing instrument. But once the cap is off, it’s a defensive fighting machine just like the former Recon Marine who created it.
Award-winning knife designer Allen Elishewitz from Lenoir City, Tennessee has practiced martial arts over the past 30 years. So he knows how to make even simple things like pens be a potentially lethal aid in self-defense.
Yet this is no simple pen. Crafted from 6061 aircraft grade aluminum ,the Tao 2 is a precision-machined writing instrument. It will continue writing in freezing cold, boiling heat, under water and upside down or help stop a would-be attacker in their tracks. There’s no longer a need to unscrew the cap. An O-ring enables you to quickly take off the cap, post it on the end of the pen and be ready.
The word Tao means the way. And with it in hand it will show you the path to protection.

Spyderco
Many knife fans have a special affinity for the Filipino balisong or butterfly knife. Its unique twin-handled design allows it to be spun, flipped, twirled, and manipulated in countless ways, challenging their dexterity and creativity and providing endless hours of fun. Unfortunately, the legality of balisongs is restricted in many areas and practicing with them—even for fun—is not a “socially friendly” activity.
The BaliYo solves that problem by combining the distinctive twin-handled design of a balisong with a high-performance pen instead of a blade. The result is a remarkable skill-based toy that offers all the versatility, creativity, and fun of a balisong in a format that is welcome everywhere.
Spyderco’s heavy-duty BaliYo design features a high-impact central body with a retractable pressurized Fisher Space Pen cartridge that makes it a world-class writing instrument. The pen body is flanked by two custom-formulated polymer handles that each rotate 180 degrees on low-friction stainless steel pivots. These brass-weighted, precision-balanced handles can be flipped, swung, twirled, and spun in a variety of patterns, transforming this everyday writing tool into a fascinating game of skill.
Whether you are a veteran balisong fan, a skill-toy enthusiast, a pen collector, or simply a curious first-timer, the BaliYo might end up being your new favorite pastime.

Kershaw Knives
You know you do it. And you know you shouldn’t. You should never use the blade of your knife—especially the blade of your folding knife—as a prybar.
However, if you’re pry-prone anyway, Kershaw now has the right knife for you. The Barge features an integral prybar that extends from the backspacer of the knife. Now there’s no need to even think about wrenching on something with your blade. Finally, you’ve got the right tool for the job—an actual prybar built into the back of the knife.
That said, the Barge’s other end is pretty handy, too. The shorter blade is a Sheepsfoot with a fairly straight edge, which is a great shape for a general utility knife. That edge is extra handy for when you might need to bear down on something you’re cutting. The stonewashed finish hides scratches easily.
The handle has a faux G-10 textured front scale for grip and a stonewashed steel back with sturdy frame lock. The pocket clip is designed for tip-down carry and is left/right reversible.
Next time you need to pry, you know what to do. Grab the Barge.

Kershaw Knives
The Fraxion, from Kershaw and Danish custom knife and toolmaker, Jens Anso, is a proven hit—and a great choice for the knife user who prefers a contemporary look and a compact size. And now it’s available with a BlackWashed blade and tan G10 handle with carbon fiber overlay.
The black-and-tan Fraxion is a slim, sleek design that weighs in at a “Fraxion” of the weight of other comparable knives. The lighter weight is thanks to the streamlined design as well as to the light-yet-strong G10 handles with a handsome carbon fiber overlay. An inset liner lock secures the blade open during use while also helping keep down the overall weight and maintaining the handle’s comfortable slimness.
The clip-point blade features a top swedge and a good-looking BlackWash finish. Built of 8CR13MoV stainless steel, the blade offers a sharp, long-lasting edge for day-to-day tasks. The Fraxion is a manual knife, but can be opened quickly, easily, and one-handed with the built-in flipper.
For convenient left- or right-handed carry, the Fraxion is equipped with a reversible deep-carry pocket clip, enabling it to ride comfortably low in the pocket.
