Elishewitz Tao Tactical Pen 2, Gray Aluminum TPENAEG
$89.00
CRKT
It’s not threatening… looking anyway. On the outside, the Tao 2 Tactical Pen appears to be a highly stylized writing instrument. But once the cap is off, it’s a defensive fighting machine just like the former Recon Marine who created it.
Award-winning knife designer Allen Elishewitz from Lenoir City, Tennessee has practiced martial arts over the past 30 years. So he knows how to make even simple things like pens be a potentially lethal aid in self-defense.
Yet this is no simple pen. Crafted from 6061 aircraft grade aluminum ,the Tao 2 is a precision-machined writing instrument. It will continue writing in freezing cold, boiling heat, under water and upside down or help stop a would-be attacker in their tracks. There’s no longer a need to unscrew the cap. An O-ring enables you to quickly take off the cap, post it on the end of the pen and be ready.
The word Tao means the way. And with it in hand it will show you the path to protection.

Kershaw Knives
You know you do it. And you know you shouldn’t. You should never use the blade of your knife—especially the blade of your folding knife—as a prybar.
However, if you’re pry-prone anyway, Kershaw now has the right knife for you. The Barge features an integral prybar that extends from the backspacer of the knife. Now there’s no need to even think about wrenching on something with your blade. Finally, you’ve got the right tool for the job—an actual prybar built into the back of the knife.
That said, the Barge’s other end is pretty handy, too. The shorter blade is a Sheepsfoot with a fairly straight edge, which is a great shape for a general utility knife. That edge is extra handy for when you might need to bear down on something you’re cutting. The stonewashed finish hides scratches easily.
The handle has a faux G-10 textured front scale for grip and a stonewashed steel back with sturdy frame lock. The pocket clip is designed for tip-down carry and is left/right reversible.
Next time you need to pry, you know what to do. Grab the Barge.
