William Henry
William Henry’s A200 expands on our tradition of fine folding knives with a design that has a little attitude, a lot of finesse, and remarkable utility in a compact and lightweight package. Each blade is crafted from CPM 20-CV stainless steel honed to a razor edge. The frame is hand-finished aircraft grade titanium with inlaid Kirinite, an exceptionally durable polymer. Finished with a stainless clip and stainless fittings, and proudly built in the USA. The A200-1E provides a stainless insert for creating your custom engraved message.
Materials & Artistry
CPM 20CV STAINLESS
CPM 20-CV is an ultra high-grade stainless steel developed by Crucible Metals, the leading US innovator of performance steels. CPM stands for Crucible Powder Metals, their most exclusive engineered alloys, and the 20-CV indicates an infusion of Vanadium, Chromium, Molybdenum and Tungsten for wear resistance, sharpness, and corrosion protection. Tough, durable, razor sharp while still being ‘sharpenable’, and stainless. Built to last a lifetime, proudly offered on select models from William Henry.
TITANIUM
Titanium is a low density, strong, lustrous, corrosion-resistant (including sea water, aqua regia and chlorine) metal with a silver color.
It was discovered in Great Britain by William Gregor in 1791, and named by Martin Heinrich Klaproth for the Titans of Greek mythology
William Henry uses only aerospace-grade titanium alloy for our frames, clips, and micro-fasteners. Called 6Al/4V, it is titanium with a little aluminum and vanadium added in for additional toughness and tensile strength.
ACRYLIC
Acrylic resins are a group of related thermoplastic or thermosetting plastic substances derived from acrylic acid
Acrylic resin is extremely weather and scratch proof. In solid form, the acrylic resin can last for decades, and It does not yellow when exposed to sunlight, even after many years.
William Henry uses innovative acrylic resins with rare and original color compositions.
10CR15COMOV
10Cr15CoMoV steel is a Chinese stainless steel equivalent to Japanese VG10 steel. It contains high amounts of Carbon and Chromium which give it high hardness and excellent corrosion resistance. 10Cr15CoMoV stainless steel is used in the knife industry to make highly polished thin blades with excellent edge retention perfect for slicing.
