  • Stropping Belt Kit for Blade Grinding Attachment WSSAKO81121

    $46.00

    Work Sharp Tools

This set of two cloth strop belts and two compounds is designed to fit the Blade Grinding Attachment for the Ken Onion sharpener. Cloth belts are used for final stropping and are superior to leather in performance.

Abrasive belts for the Blade Grinding Attachment are formulated, designed, and made in America by industry-leading abrasives manufacturer Norton for precision sharpening of high-strength steels. The grit symmetry, spacing, and backing flexibility are all designed to produce the optimal convex edge with minimal heating or material takeoff. If you’ve ever used a belt sander to sharpen, you know how quickly the steel heats and how much excess material can be removed if you aren’t careful. Our abrasives are a key component of our success in the sharpening world.

  • Ultra Tek Diamond Steel Blade Sharpener with 600-Grit Diamond Coated Oval Shaft 2535

    $39.00
    Kershaw Knives

The Ultra-Tek Blade Sharpener is the convenient way to keep your Kershaw sharp. The Ultra-Tek is a compact sharpening steel that lets you quickly and easily touch up the edge on your Kershaw anywhere, anytime. The Ultra-Tek handle is made of 6060-T6 anodized aircraft aluminum.

Stored inside the handle is a 600-grit, diamond-coated oval shaft. This is the perfect grit for restoring an edge that is in generally good shape, but is just dull. Simply unscrew the shaft from the handle interior, turn it around, and screw it on to the other end of the handle. Now the Ultra-Tek is a comfortable 9-in. length, ideal for both sharpening and realigning the edge of your Kershaw blade. To sharpen, hold the blade edge against the diamond-coated shaft at about a 20-degree angle and swipe the blade, from heel to tip, along the sharpening shaft. Do this an even number of times on both sides of the blade. Soon, your blade will be restored to it’s Kershaw shaving sharp edge. It’s a good idea to keep the Ultra-Tek close at hand so you can touch up the blade from time to time. If you don’t let it get terribly dull, it will take no time at all to maintain your edge.

The Ultra-Tek requires no water or oil. It’s lightweight and easy to use. And it stores compactly, making it easy to take with you.

  • Whetstone Sharpening Stone J2000 / J400 Grit 4450

    $49.00

Tired of sending your valuable knives out for service? Try the WÜSTHOF Ceramic whet stone. With two sides, one can recondition a well used edge with the 400 grit side then fine tune with the 2000 grit side.   At 6 inches long by 2 inches wide, this whetstone can accommodate sharpening longer blades.

Before each use, soak in water for 10 minutes to remove any metal dust. Position the stone on a flat surface and keep it stable. For very dull or damaged blades, start with the coarse side first. Using gentle pressure, draw the edge of the blade over the stone at a 15 – 20 angle from the blade base to tip, and repeat this motion for the other side of the blade. Repeat using the other side of the whetstone to hone the edge as desired. Knives that are well maintained may only require fine honing. Utilizing the stone s entire surface while sharpening will make sure the stone wears evenly over time.

The Wüsthof Ceramic Whetstone is suitable for use with oil or water, but please note that once oil has been used, the whetstone can no longer be used with water.
