$98.00It all began with the 110 Folding Hunter. The 110 could be found on a lot of sailor’s belts in the Navy. One day, a couple of soldiers got into a fight and the 110 Folding Hunter was used. As a result, the captain issued a decree that knives carried could not have a blade length of a certain size. The 110 ended up being too long, so Buck Knives took the initiative and created the Ranger, a smaller version of the 110. The 112 is another traditional favorite. Length 4 1/4″ closed.

We began with our powerful InterFrame locking liner construction in an easily cleaned open build, with nickel chrome plated zinc alloy scales featuring an aircraft-style drilled “skeleton” design. Handles are designed with an extended guard, generous size and bead-blast finish to give you extra gripping power. The high-carbon, 420J2 stainless steel blades feature a rugged modified drop point shape and bead-blast finish. The .44 Magnum Whittler, released in 1975, is one of only two knives made for the Knife Collector’s Club by Hen & Rooster and marked A. G. Russell. The other was the CM-4 Baby Barlow. All other KCC knives made by Hen & Rooster were marked with the hen and rooster on the mark side of the main blade and Bertram on the reverse.
This Whittler has a 3″ clip point main blade and 1-3/4″ sheepsfoot and pen blades, all of mirror polished high carbon German stainless. The inlay of a .44 Magnum cartridge is set into African Blackwood handle scales. The main blade is marked A. G. Russell on the obverse side and on the reverse side *Germany* CM-5. Measures 3-1/2″ closed and weighs 2.3 oz. This is the Excelsior Grade, with serial number 26-300. Made in Germany.
