Locking liner folding knife with thumb stud – featuring a rugged, stonewashed drop-point blade; rugged, hard anodized sure grip handles; and a nylon-fabric sheath.
The Go-N-Heavy™ Compact is part of the exclusive Ruger® knife line; the line includes designs for everyday carry, hunting, tactical uses and self-preparedness. The knives are crafted in varying sizes and finishes, with an assortment of blade edges.
Developed by five master knife-smiths who combined their knowledge of the art with aesthetic details from Ruger® firearms, the line offers unique knives with the important features that every good knife should have. These knives are purpose built to be durable and highly functional in the environments where Ruger® customers will expect them to perform.

Kershaw Knives
This is one of the original Kershaw Blurs, the Blur that started it all.
Like all Blurs, it’s equipped with a big, slightly recurved blade that’s ideal for multitasking. The blade shape offers both excellent slicing and piercing capabilities and the high-performance Sandvik 14C28N stainless blade steel offers corrosion resistance and hardness. The black Blur has a DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coated blade for extra corrosion resistance and enhanced looks.
This black Blur has, as you might expect, black handles with Trac-Tec grip-tape handle inserts for an extremely solid grip. The handle itself is durable 6061-T6 anodized aluminum, sometimes described as “aircraft aluminum” since it is a common material used for aircraft fittings. But the main point is that it’s lightweight, extremely durable, scratch resistant and extra tough.
For easy one-handed opening, the Blur is equipped with SpeedSafe assisted opening. A short push on the thumb stud overcomes the resistance built into the torsion bar in the SpeedSafe mechanism. The SpeedSafe takes over and the blade moves out of the handle quickly and easily. One-handed opening is easy with SpeedSafe. The pocket clip is reversible for your choice of tip-up or tip-down carry. There’s even a pre-drilled lanyard hole.

The Emerson “wave shaped opening feature” is a fast, effective, and impressive way to open your knife.
The patented Emerson “wave shaped feature,” a small wave-shaped tab on the top of the blade that’s built to catch on your pocket seam, opens the knife as you withdraw it from your pocket. This instant-open feature is a favorite among military, rescue, and law enforcement knife users.
But it does take a little practice.
Enter the Kershaw-Emerson E-Train, our “Emerson trainer” knife. The blade is unsharpened so you can safely practice using the “wave shaped opening feature” without endangering either your pocket or your fingers.

High-performance Sandvik 14C28N stainless steel provides the Blur’s blade with corrosion resistance and excellent edge-holding ability. The stonewashed blade finish gives the surface a desirable roughened or scuffed look that helps hide scratches and fingerprints.
The handle is built of durable 6061-T6 anodized aluminum, which is sometimes described as “aircraft aluminum” since it is a common material used for aircraft fittings. It’s lightweight, extremely durable, and anodizes well so Kershaw can create colored handles that are scratch resistant and extra tough. Trac-Tec grip-tape inserts provide an extra-secure grip. The Blur’s inset liner lock ensures secure blade lock up during use.
