The M16® Z everyday carry series was designed by Vine Grove, Kentucky’s legendary custom knifemaker and retired Sgt. Major Harold “Kit” Carson. After years of crafting knives for military use, he answered the call when it came to creating one for the civilian population. Now people everywhere have a blade that’s ready for the line of duty in whatever capacity they see fit.
An affordable everyday carry knife, the M16®-10KZ features a dual hollow grind tanto-style blade available in plain edge and Triple-Point™ serrated edges similar to our “Big Dog” tactical M16® models. The result is maximum blade strength and ability to saw through cord, webbing, nets or vegetation quickly. It also comes loaded with a distinctive black frame and hardware with a non-reflective tactically inspired look. But at this price, you won’t feel guilty if you leave it at a job site somewhere as night sets in.
The blade opens easily when you need it most. Just put your finger on the Carson Flipper. Flick your wrist. Then it all locks into place with the automated liner safety that automatically actuates when the blades is open. It’s goodbye folder and hello fixed blade when locked. You’re safe and sound and ready to go.
To close the knife, pull the red buttoned safety lever back, slide the locking liner over, and fold the blade into the closed position. The handle features easy-to-grip glass-reinforced nylon scales and a stainless steel lined InterFrame. Assembled with glass-reinforced nylon back spacers and Torx® fasteners as well, the handle is rigid and offers excellent toughness and resistance to solvents. A one position, stainless steel pocket clip rounds out the features. Hold on and be ready to put this knife through anything.

CPM-S30V Stainless Steel
A premium steel created especially for knives, it is a powder steel creating uniform carbide distribution and clean steel properties. As a blade material, it offers excellent corrosion resistance and superb edge qualities. This stainless steel is extremely well balanced, making it one of the best all-around choices for daily tasks.
AXIS Lock
A Benchmade original, AXIS has been turning heads and winning fans ever since its introduction. A 100 percent ambidextrous design, AXIS gets its function from a small, hardened steel bar that rides forward and back in a slot machined into both steel liners. The bar extends to both sides of the knife, spans the liners and is positioned over the rear of the blade. It engages a ramped tang portion of the knife blade when it is opened. Two omega style springs, one on each liner, give the locking bar its inertia to engage the knife tang. As a result, the tang is wedged solidly between a sizable stop pin and the AXIS bar itself.

The senior team member, Mel has been grinding sparks, making knives and creating a following for 25-plus years. His style has a class and simplicity all its own. The Pardue collaborations offer great utility to the everyday knife user while at the same time presenting an upscale distinction. Less is definitely more with Mel’s designs.

Kershaw Knives

Like all Blurs, the 1670CAMO is equipped with a big, slightly recurved blade that’s ideal for multitasking. The blade shape offers both excellent slicing and piercing capabilities. The blade is made of Sandvik 14C28N stainless blade with DLC -Diamond-Like Carbon coating. Both the steel and coating help to prevent corrosion of the blade.
The handle is light weight and durable, made with 6061-T6 anodized aluminum and Trac-Tec grip-tape inserts to help secure your grip. Double studs to help open the blade. Black pocket clip can be changed from tip up to tip down. Lanyard hole on the end. There are variations to the color of the camouflages and this is done by the manufacturer- there is no choice in what is in the boxes. Some are darker green and some are more olive and some are more lighter green. Please appreciate the differences in the model that you receive, it is unique to each one made.

Kershaw Knives
Like all Blurs, it’s equipped with a big, slightly recurved blade that’s ideal for multitasking. The blade shape offers both excellent slicing and piercing capabilities and the high-performance Sandvik 14C28N stainless blade steel offers corrosion resistance and hardness. The black Blur has a DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coated blade for extra corrosion resistance and enhanced looks.
This black Blur has, as you might expect, black handles with Trac-Tec grip-tape handle inserts for an extremely solid grip. The handle itself is durable 6061-T6 anodized aluminum, sometimes described as “aircraft aluminum” since it is a common material used for aircraft fittings. But the main point is that it’s lightweight, extremely durable, scratch resistant and extra tough.
For easy one-handed opening, the Blur is equipped with SpeedSafe assisted opening. A short push on the thumb stud overcomes the resistance built into the torsion bar in the SpeedSafe mechanism. The SpeedSafe takes over and the blade moves out of the handle quickly and easily. One-handed opening is easy with SpeedSafe. The pocket clip is reversible for your choice of tip-up or tip-down carry. There’s even a pre-drilled lanyard hole.
