Subtle beauty is an appropriate way to describe this Composite Blade Kershaw Leek. Kershaw has gone and covered both the blade and handle completely in a Blackwash finish, so you will not be able to see any scratches on this knife at all! The wavy braze line permanently joins a razor-sharp D2 cutting edge to a Sandvik 14C28N spine. With a Composite Blade and BlackWash, this is the Leek that has it all.
On the edge is a high-carbon, high-chromium D2 steel capable of taking and holding an incredible edge. On the spine is high-performance Sandvik 14C28N. With a Composite Blade, each type of steel is allowed to do what it does best. The Composite Blade Leek shares its 3.0″ blade, slim, easy-to-carry design, and versatility with other Leeks. The BlackWash finish gives the Leek the look of a favorite, well worn pair of jeans—the ones you just can’t live without. Once you own it, you may just feel that way about this Composite Blade BlackWash Leek, too.
The modified drop-point blade shape makes it a good slicing knife, while the slim tip gives it excellent piercing and detail work capabilities. SpeedSafe assisted opening system makes it easy to open the knife one-handed, whether you’re a lefty or a righty. A simple pull back on the ambidextrous flipper and the Leek’s Composite Blade is ready to go to work.
This Leek also features a handle of pure stainless steel, BlackWashed to match the blade. A secure frame lock keeps the blade locked open during use and a Tip-Lock slider locks the blade closed when folded. The pocketclip can be configured for tip-up or tip-down carry and the handle is drilled to accept a lanyard.

CPM-S30V Stainless Steel

AXIS Lock
A Benchmade original, AXIS has been turning heads and winning fans ever since its introduction. A 100 percent ambidextrous design, AXIS gets its function from a small, hardened steel bar that rides forward and back in a slot machined into both steel liners. The bar extends to both sides of the knife, spans the liners and is positioned over the rear of the blade. It engages a ramped tang portion of the knife blade when it is opened. Two omega style springs, one on each liner, give the locking bar its inertia to engage the knife tang. As a result, the tang is wedged solidly between a sizable stop pin and the AXIS bar itself.

Kershaw Knives
Like all Blurs, it’s equipped with a big, slightly recurved blade that’s ideal for multitasking. The blade shape offers both excellent slicing and piercing capabilities and the high-performance Sandvik 14C28N stainless blade steel offers corrosion resistance and hardness. The black Blur has a DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coated blade for extra corrosion resistance and enhanced looks.
This black Blur has, as you might expect, black handles with Trac-Tec grip-tape handle inserts for an extremely solid grip. The handle itself is durable 6061-T6 anodized aluminum, sometimes described as “aircraft aluminum” since it is a common material used for aircraft fittings. But the main point is that it’s lightweight, extremely durable, scratch resistant and extra tough.
For easy one-handed opening, the Blur is equipped with SpeedSafe assisted opening. A short push on the thumb stud overcomes the resistance built into the torsion bar in the SpeedSafe mechanism. The SpeedSafe takes over and the blade moves out of the handle quickly and easily. One-handed opening is easy with SpeedSafe. The pocket clip is reversible for your choice of tip-up or tip-down carry. There’s even a pre-drilled lanyard hole.
