The SOG FastHawk is faster, lighter, more agile, and easier to carry than its sibling the Tactical Tomahawk. This is not to say it is not still powerful, versatile, and functional. It is a tool that will be used for much more than you might anticipate. Chopping, breaking, cutting, hammering, piercing, digging, prying, pounding shaving, notching, opening and throwing are all capabilities well within the FastHawk’s reach. The 420 stainless steel head with a hard cased black coating is mounted to the ballistic polymer handle with heavy-duty bolts and a steel ferrule to insure the strongest integrity. Side hammer checkering insures precision placement when swinging. Carried in a nylon sheath that can be mounted to belt, backpack, or gear. It is a universal tool for modern man.

Kershaw
Mankind has been using the ax to shape, split, and cut wood for millennia. The Kershaw Deschutes camp axe is an update on that trusty tool. With its angular handle lines and cutouts in the ax head and knob, it has a decidedly contemporary look. The cutouts also help relieve weight in this full-tang tool. The tan glass-filled nylon handle features textured rubberized inserts for secure grip. The cutout in the head is part of the included sheath and carry system. The sheath snaps into place through the hole. Once the sheath is secured, add the strap for convenient over-the-shoulder carry. Cutout in the knob provides a convenient place to add your own wrist strap.

Almost every tomahawk you can buy on the market today can trace its roots back to the Hudson Bay Axe used for centuries in the vast forests and swamps of North East Canada. Famous for its versatility and effectiveness, the Hudson Bay Axe became indispensable for anyone trying to wrest a living out of the wilderness. We too are also great admirers of this famous axe pattern, so we decided (like so many before us), to re-scale it down into tomahawk format. Drop forged out of 1050 Carbon Steel, like all of our hawks, it offers a 3 ½ long cutting edge in the classic shape as well as a substantial poll that can be used for pounding, crushing, and hammering. You can even drive nails and spikes with it as it too, like the blade, is differentially hardened. Supplied with a tough, straight grain American Hickory handle, its ready for a life in the woods and in a pinch will also double as a frighteningly effective weapon.

Outdoor Edge
The Outdoor Edge Wood Devil Axe features a head made of 3Cr13 stainless steel with a non reflective black oxide coated finish. The head has a 4″ cutting edge and a back that is suitable for use as a hammer. The Wood Devil Axe has full length tang construction for strength, ergonomic red ABS handle with black TPR (thermoplastic rubber) grip, an extended pommel for pounding, and a lanyard hole. A nylon sheath is included with this Outdoor Edge Axe. The Outdoor Edge Wood Devil Axe has an overall length of 9.9″, and it weighs 18.5 ounces.
