This Wüsthof Classic 7-piece knife set is the perfect basic set for any kitchen. With the razor-sharp chef’s knife you effortlessly cut vegetables, meat and fish. For the smaller tasks you use the utility knife and to cut small fruit or to peel ingredients you use the paring knife. With the carving knife you cut small slices of meat and with the bread knife you, of course, cut bread, but also fruit with a hard shell. The set also contains a pair of scissors and a honing steel. You store all these amazing tools in a knife block with practical rubber feet that ensure that the block stays in place without leaving behind scratches.
The Classic is the most extensive Wüsthof collection on the market today. It includes of over 80 different kitchen knives, amongst which different sizes of chef’s knives, bread knives and carving knives. This collection has the most versions of all possible knives and you can easily comprise your own perfect knife set.

Wüsthof Classic blade: razor-sharp stainless steel
The blade made from chromium-vanadium steel (X50CrMoV15) is forged from one solid piece of steel. It sharpened according to Wüsthof’s PEtec technology. This means that for each blade a sharpening angle is determined with the help of a computer. Afterwards it is precisely sharpened on a wet sharpening stone. After thorough inspection each knife leaves the production line, ready for a life of intensive use.
Wüsthof processes the steel in a specific way to make sure it has a high hardness of 58 Rockwell. As such the knife retains its sharpness for a really long time. if you notice that the knife is not as sharp as it used to be, all you have to do is move it over a honing steel. The result is a razor-sharp knife that is amazing to use.
Wüsthof Classic handle: sustainable and hygienic
This knife is a combination of a forged blade and an ergonomic handle made from black POM, a very sustainable type of plastic. The handle can withstand all substances you find in the kitchen. The handle was traditionally and seamlessly riveted to the blade with three rivets. As such dirt can never accumulate in between the blade and the handle. The crop protects your fingers from unnecessary contact with the edge. What more could you possibly ask for?

This culinary set includes six knives and a sharpener presented in a beautiful AAA grade figured maple display. Each blade is crafted from forged 67 layer damascus steel in our signature “lightning” pattern, tempered to an optimal hardness of HRC 59-60. The bolsters and pins are stainless steel, finished with a durable black G10 composite handle. The matching sharpener is diamond coated to allow quick touch up of your edges as needed. The patent pending display is built from solid American black walnut, with laminate inlays, hidden rare earth magnets, and anodized aluminum stabilizing feet.
