With the Aura line, SOG built on the traditional ideas of the past and evolved them for the future. They thought about weight, ease of carry, safety and intuitiveness. They considered utility, ergonomics and comfort. The result… the Aura fixed blade. SOG uses a high impact and tough glass-reinforced polymer handle that is overmolded with a more pliable material for non-slip comfort. They didn’t want a big clunky crossguard that isolated the hand. So they adapted the blade design to provide the element of safety and allows greater control. And just in case your edge requires a touch up in the field, unscrew the carbide sharpener in the back of the handle and reflect that yes, maybe this is a new day in knives. Pedigree for the future.

The skeletonized handle and the stainless steel blade feature a bead blast finish and are strong and lightweight. The handle incorporates an 02 wrench for taking on those valves when time gets tight and you need to release the oxygen. The sheath features a passenger side window glass-breaker for making an impact when time is running out. The durable glass-reinforced nylon sheath is also equipped with an industrial strength VELCRO® back and a seat belt strap cutter with two replacement blades.

The TDI Law Enforcement Knife was designed by an officer with officers in mind.
Benner has trained thousands of law enforcement personnel since founding TDI in 1986. Prior to that time he served as Lieutenant of the Village of Fairfax Police Department, Coordinator of the Drug Abuse Reduction Task Force, and Tactical Field Commander of the Hamilton County Police Association Special Weapons and Tactics Team (S.W.A.T.). John has developed courses for raid tactics, tactical weapons instructor schools, defensive tactics and knife programs that are currently taught to law enforcement, military and civilian groups.
The TDI Law Enforcement Knife was designed to be used as a “last option” knife. In extreme close quarters encounters where a suspect is attempting to take an officer’s handgun, or the officer cannot access his/her handgun, the TDI Knife is available. Designed as an “off hand” knife that draws like a pistol, the reversible sheath can be worn on either the right or left side of the officer’s pant belt.
