DUCKFOOT™ Diamond Knife Sharpener BY200
$75.00Spyderco
Byrd Knife engineers began referring to their new sharpening device as the Duckfoot in their initial design phase simply for lack of a better name. It stuck and it fits.
The Duckfoot sharpening device is shaped like a duck’s foot with varying shapes for sharpening different edges. It offers around 15 square inches of diamond coated sharpening surface for sharpening any tool. It starts as a steel form and uses nickel plating to bond 600 mesh mono-crystaline diamonds to the steel. The diamond particles do not require pressing hard when sharpening (in fact if you press too hard you can dislodge the particles). Gentle pressure does it. The angles and sides include: a 1″ X 5″ flat diamond stone, 3 grooves including a wide radius channel for de-burring and a narrow radius channel for honing pointed objects.
By holding it vertically on a tabletop it tilts from one side to the other raising one edge off the tabletop and creating a 20° angle (40° total angle) for sharpening knife blades. The sides are elliptically shaped. There is a surface with large radius for sharpening PlainEdges and a small radius for SpyderEdges (serrations). Lay it horizontally and it creates a 12.5° angle designed for sharpening scissors. It comes packaged in a suede leather carry case that doubles as a non-skid counter top pad while sharpening.
Previously owned. Excellent condition. Missing detailed instructional DVD.

Güde die Messer The Knife Grenadill G-G888/26
$297.00Güde Solingen
We’ve kept a close eye on the chefs and completely reinvented the chef’s knife with THE KNIFE. Everything about this knife is really different. The short handle automatically lets the user grip the knife much further forward than normal. So far forward that the thumb and index finger enclose the blade. The blade becomes an (almost) natural extension of the hand. A secure grip and precise guidance are guaranteed. The hand automatically sits above the blade and not behind it. This ensures a shorter lever and thus better power transmission. No transition interferes, all lines are flowing. And then this blade, ground through to the end and extended backwards to below the handle. Cutting where the force is, supported by a weight distribution that THE KNIFE. virtually drops into the material to be cut. More is hardly possible. With the GOOD DESIGN Award, THE KNIFE. received the oldest, most prestigious and globally recognized prize for excellent design – in addition to a host of other renowned awards. By the way: cooking with THE KNIFE is actually even more beautiful than just looking at it!
The knife measures 12.5″ overall, and comes in an elegant presentation box with a 39″ × 19″ checkered cotton tea towel. A truly superb gift for the serious chef on your list.

Vintage Command I Boot Knife 178487
$535.00This Command I Boot Knife (#008386) has a satin finished stainless steel spear point partially serrated blade with hidden tang.
Characteristic of the Command I compared to the well-known Mark I & 2 is the so-called ‘bayonet grind’. This means that the tip of the blade is sharp on two sides, like a regular dagger, but only on one side does the edge continue all the way down to the handle. The other side has a cut that runs from the tip to about 1/3 of the length, and in this case is also serrated. The blade has a beautiful satin surface finish. The handle of the knife is made of aluminum with a black powder coating that offers a good grip due to the somewhat rough texture. The knife comes with black leather sheath with button closure and black clip. Furthermore, the knife is previously owned and in very good condition.
Features
• Smooth cut on one side, serrated edge on the other side.
• Serial number 008386.
• Manufactured between 1981 and mid 1990s. -

Vintage Mark I Boot Knife C47737
$535.00The Mark I came after the Mark II, despite the numbering. The intention was to create a knife that was legal to carry in more places than the Mark II. It seems that a 6-inch double-edged dagger wasn’t allowed in many areas.
To meet consumer requests, Gerber created a smaller dagger called the Mark I. Not only did the company’s designers shorten the blade, but they also reconfigured the handle a bit. It came with a leather sheath that was outfitted with a clip designed for boot carry.
The Mark 1 went into production in 1976. It was made in a couple of different configurations over the years and finally discontinued in 1997.
Gerber Mark I boot knife was previously owned and in excellent shape. Condition near mint to mint, only shows minor wear on the blade from being in the sheath for many years.
Marked “GERBER PORTLAND, ORE. U.S.A.” and a serial #064376 on a front tang. Leather sheath with large clip etched “GERBER PORTLAND, OR. 97223”.
Fantastic little survival and utility knife.
